Organizational Trainings
We are excited to present our training to organizations on Effective Communication. Our work is based largely on Nonviolent Communication; a practice based on Humanistic psychology, and developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenburg. NVC is designed to catalyze efficient and empathetic interpersonal dynamics, emotional intelligence, and effective conflict resolution. When applied to the business sector, NVC accelerates and clarifies communication, while also building team cooperation, trust, and motivation.
Basic Skills Training
Our Basic Skills Training for organizations is typically a 3-hour or 1 day (6hr.) workshop developed to aid individuals in a professional work environment in improving communication and emotional intelligence by introducing and practicing the foundational skills of NVC. We introduce these skills in 3 parts.
Intermediate Level Training
The most common Intermediate Level training in organizational NVC follows an 8-week program at 2 hours per week. While we offer a “2-day intensive” option, most of our clients find that consistent practice over time is most effective in helping to improve the consistency and effectiveness of new skills.
Advanced Level Training
The Advance Level Training is typically offered in two 6-hour or five 3-hour sections. Advanced training offers a chance to combine live mediation with challenges within the organization while continuing to refine skills and improve EQ.
Targeting Skills Training
Rose City NVC also offers a variety of individual skill training sessions that can best be utilized after learning the foundational skills (minimally through an Introductory and Basic Skills Session). This can be a cost-effective strategy for teams who already operate with positive but perhaps inconsistent levels of cooperation and emotional connectedness to develop simple strategies to improve. Examples include: mediation and conflict resolution training, capacity building, empowerment training, and solution-based thinking.
